  • About Me Vocaal Ensemble TIEN (Vocal Ensemble 'Ten') is an Amsterdam based mixed a cappella chamber choir, founded in the mid '90s and consisting of ca 14 singers. All participants are vocally trained, some of which at music academies. The ensemble prepares concerts twice a year, singing highly diverse repertoire, ranging from renaissance compositions to contemporary music and everything in between. TIEN works with a range of conductors, each specialized in the repertoire and theme chosen for a programme, e.g. Fokko Oldenhuis, JanJoost van Elburg, Felix van den Hombergh, Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen, Enrique López-Cortón and Nicky Bouwers.
