Since 1994 it has been directed by popular Chorus Director, Christopher Bell, and has expanded its membership to almost 300, with members aged from eight right up to eighteen. It has built up a considerable reputation singing under some of The world's most distinguished conductors and appearing on radio and television.

The mission of The DaCapo Chamber Choir is to identify, study, rehearse, and present in public performance and recordings, The outstanding choral Chamber works of The past 100 years and to champion music of Canadian and local composers. Our performance season consists of three annual concerts in Kitchener-Waterloo: once in The fall around Remembrance Day, a mid-winter, and a spring concert. In addition, The Choir performs on an ad hoc basis at oTher events. The Choir, which began at Brigham Young University as an early music ensemble, transformed into one of The premier non-collegiate Chamber groups in The Western United States. This award-winning ensemble achieves high performance standards by drawing on The rich musical heritage of The region. Many Cantorum singers have solo careers and all have sung with top collegiate ensembles. A number have also sung as members of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Utah Chamber Artists, and Salt Lake Vocal Artists. In addition, Cantorum is proud to have a high representation of talented choral educators. The group won both of its categories at The 2016 Interkultur competition and received special commendation for Their performance of Dale Warland and Hugo Distler.
