"Far Away in the mystery of the skies,
A secret is waiting for us...
It's the calm
And our angel
With her eternal pace
There is a Land
Where you can fly over a spring
of beauty and of love
And it's soft
And clear
Like a real dream
Will you come with me?" less

Every day I think of her because she was a great angel in my career. She opened the doors to Europe for me and helped me a lot to grow my career. She was also the musical godmother of hundreds of people to whom with Epilogi she gave education and showed them a passion.
She organized festivals that boosted the culture of choral music in Europe and also did everything with unparalleled energy and joy. She was a woman who inspired me, who inspired us and was a great friend in my life. Thank you Angelina.

The moving story behind "Land of Angels" by Santiago Veros

Minneapolis native Fletcher Bartholomew spent most of his life in aviation, beginning with a childhood flight in a Curtis Robin in 1929. His work in aviation started with a job as an inspector in an aircraft factory. He went on to become a test pilot in World War II, serving at the South India Air Depot at Bangalore, India. He often spoke later of his experience on the ship to India and the people he met travelling around the subcontinent. He subsequently worked in aviation in Munich, Germany, and in Lima, Peru, before he concluded his career working in airport planning and management. less

Recorded live on May 13, 2011, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Apprentice Choir ensemble of the Girl Choir of South Florida. Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, Accompanist: Susan Dodd.
This piece was first debuted by the Girl Choir of South Florida as part of the festival chorus at the Keynote Arts Festival in June 2006.
From breakfast on through all the day
At home among my friends I stay,
But every night I go abroad
Afar into the Land of Nod.
All by myself I have to go,
With none to tell me what to do —
All alone beside the streams
And up the mountain-sides of dreams.
The strangest things are there for me,
Both things to eat and things to see,
And many frightening sights abroad
Till morning in the Land of Nod.
Try as I like to find the way,
I never can get back by day,
Nor can remember plain and clear
The curious music that I hear. less
