The World Youth Choir session 2012 was held in Cyprus from August 7th to September 1st, 2012 thanks to the cooperation between the Foundation World Youth Choir and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by the Ministry of culture and education - Cyprus presidency of the European Union (cultural events in 2012). In a short time the choir has achieved a valuable role in the Finnish community in The Netherlands. TAIKA practices in The Hague. The choir has a wide repertoire, ranging from folk to pop, with an emphasis on Finnish female choral music. However, the choir enthusiastically performs songs from all around the world. The choir performs in a wide range of events hosted by businesses and organisations. In the spring of 2015 the choir was performing for the first time abroad - in Finland. Summer 2017 choir was in Verona, Italy, taking a part of an international choir festival.  less

We uphold the tradition and art of male choral singing through the camaraderie of choral membership and in entertaining our audiences. We give our own concerts several times a year in Norwich and beyond, as well as appear at events by invitation. We were Special Guests of 'The People's Soprano' Rebecca Newman at her 2012 and Spring 2016 tour Norwich appearances and we put up a team to challenge the Eggheads for quiz supremacy! Between 2002 and 2008, Alegria Chamber Choir performed under the scope of Ankara Çoksesli Müzik Derneği (Ankara Polyphonic Music Association), a prestigious association which was founded in 1974. Since 2008, the choir has been extending his repertoire and performing fully independently as a non-profit and non-governmental organization.
