To date they have given over 1500 local youngsters vocal coaching and experience of professional-standard live performance. WYV is run by a team of experienced volunteers who give their time freely to be able to pass this experience on - the team consists of two primary school teachers, two doctors and a critical care nurse! Warwickshire Young Voices provide high quality musical activities for children from age 2 to age 16 through a range of classes, Choirs and workshops. In all activities, Warwickshire Young Voices prides itself on professionalism - with performances reaching the highest standards. Their Musical Director, and resident composer, often writes music specifically for the children. Warwickshire Young Voices are a busy group. Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a v...  moreThe New Wave Chorus was created in early 2015 by Armanda Patricio. Integrates more than twenty young people between fourteen and eighteen years of age who have, in Music, a common denominator. Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a varied repertoire in multiple languages, styles, and four mixed voices (SATB) a cappella or in collaboration with instrumental ensembles. Has the support of the Instituto Politecnico de Castelo Branco, through the provision of space for rehearsals, on Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco (ESART). Fifteen days after its formation, the band was invited to participate in the IX Spring Concert (Covilha), with the theme "East and West", taking place on March 15, 2015. He accepted with great pleasure and it turned out a great way for bringing a greater responsibility to the original project.  less

In their sound they’re combining variety of styles with an emphasis on gospel and pop. They won the 2nd prize in international competition in Verona, Italy in 2008. In 2011. they won silver prize in Rimini, and also, the special prize for the best group up to 12 singers. During 2012. they performed in 3 contests, in Gorizia (ITA) - 1st prize in pop cathegory, Graz (AUT) - bronze in pop cathegory and Rijeka (CRO) - 1st prize in gospel and jazz.  less
