The Choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue. The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12. The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned Choir for older children and teens.  less

They specialise in modern musical theatre and performance but also sing other genres including pop and gospel. The Choir's music is arranged by Choir leader Nicole Dawson who is a trained composer and arranger. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Priory Hall, Christchurch and the Choir perform regularly all over the South Coast. New members are currently being accepted for the summer term 2016, entry is by informal, private audition. Come and join the fun!  less

Music camps, social outings, Concert tours and an annual, child-involved fundraiser are combined with weekly rehearsals and live performances to create the type of nurturing environment that enables members to mature musically and socially. The SCCC and its musical directors serve as mentors, coaches and friends to students in a variety of socioeconomic levels.  less
