Singers in this ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around the world. The Chamber Choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers.  less

Initially, the singers performed mainly in their home town and neighbouring areas, actively accumulating experience for their first serious contest, the Latvian National Contest for Vocal Ensembles, in 1999. Success amongst the tough competition in the category of female ensembles encouraged the singers to participate in international contests, resulting only in awards. Success increases the joy of singing and in order to spread positive emotions to a greater number of vocal music admirers, Anima Solla began concert trips to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Lithuania and Australia. Our repertoire ranges from the traditional to the contemporary, from sacred to 'songs from the shows', from Wagner to Rod Stewart. We maintain a good balance of concert and social activities. We practice every Tuesday night from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at Stithians Methodist Chapel. We have made a number of recordings including (with Stithians Ladies Choir) five well known Sankey Albums.
