English Translation:
Oh! What an unbearable pain!
Oh, gracious God!
What an unbearable sorrow!
The third bell of the Cathedral just rang;
The sun set long ago behind Mount Lopital...
Mother Nature derailed, straining everyone to misery.
Large structures and small rafts have turned to dust and ashes.
Jesus, Marie, and Joseph... Grace and Mercy...
Mother Nature derailed, straining everyone to misery.
We see, but we don't understand,
It happened so suddenly.
The earth trembled!
The earth shook harder than a desert's leaf.
Help! Help! Rescue me, I beg you!
I'm at a loss for words...
Dies irae, dies illa; (Day of wrath, day of anger)
Requiem aeTernam dona eis, Domine.
(Grant them eTernal rest, Lord.)
Haiti! Haiti! What an unbearable pain,
TighTen your belt.
Haiti! Haiti! You are a valiant woman,
Hang in there, don't give up...
Rubberneckers from everywhere ask: "How's it going?"... less

As a choir, the Consort has a wide repertoire, ranging from Early Church music through to Folksongs and modern works. Each programme is different and reflects the wishes of those for whom we perform.
Since the Consort’s formation it has raised, through its choral concerts, many thousands of pounds for a wide range of charities and churches. It is always glad to consider invitations from such organisations. Its services are given voluntarily, although a contribution towards its music library and other expenses is graTefully received.
We would love to come and sing to you and help you raise much needed funds for your cause.
In addition to singing at Fund Raising events, the Choir is available to sing at privaTe functions, weddings, funerals and so on less

Spera means hope in Latin, and it is a members’ shared vision on music. All members studied a sacred choral music under Koji Oguchi, choir director, when they were high school students. They were deeply touched by Oguchi’s music and established the Ensemble Choir SPERA. Making its debut in concert in March 2014 at Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, SPERA’s music was highly prized and well-reviewed in newspapers. It serves in Masses and services and performs in concerts as an ecumenical choir, composed of students from Kitasato University, InTernational Christian University, Hitotsubashi University and Rikkyo University.
