The Choir performs several major Concerts each year; its Christmas and Spring Concerts in Amman are highly anticipated events. Dozan wa Awtar’s repertoire includes a wide range of sacred music, from Byzantine hymns through The Chorale classics of Western music to The present day and Islamic anasheed. The Choir also enjoys performing secular music, including folk songs from around The world, Broadway hits and arrangements of popular, contemporary music in many languages. A sub-group of The Choir, called “Dozan,” is specializing in performing traditional and contemporary music in Arabic. At The beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national Choir competitions and repeatedly won The first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of The most established Choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, The Choir has been given The chance to perform in events attended by The President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in Concerts, occasionally collaborated with oTher Choirs and orchestras. In 1968 PSM-ITB organized The 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Conducted by Dr Shirley Court. The Chanterelles is a ladies Choir from all over The UK. Originating from a Leicestershire Youth Choir and reforming as an adult Choir in February 2009, members now come togeTher to perform about five times each year. Having tasted success as a Youth Choir in Llangollen in 1998, The Choir returned in Their new guise as a Female Choir In July 2010, winning Their section and taking Their place in The Choir of The World competition. This success was followed by Concerts in Macclesfield and Birmingham and a win at The North Wales Choral Festival in November 2011. In 2012, The Choir competed in The Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at The Cork Choral Festival and won 2nd prize in this year's International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. These dynamic and talented singer...  moreThe SYC was formed in 1998, as children's Choir singers grew and voices changed! This four part chorus (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) is devoted to music of all styles, including Classical, Broadway and Contemporary tunes. These dynamic and talented singers range in age from 14-25, and include young women in gr.11 and higher, and young men with changed voices. The SYC annually participates in The Family Christmas Concert, and choreographed year end show. They also stage an Orchestra Concert each spring, which has presented pieces such as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, and Daley, to name a few. This year, The SYC looks forward to singing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The Youth Chorus joined The senior and chamber Choirs in Their 2009 tour to The UK.
