The Embro area is well known for having very talented people and we have added to the Embro talent with people from Woodstock, Ingersoll, Thamesford, Cambridge, London. Our goal is to make a great choral sound by learning and working together. We sing both the classics and the fun songs but our chief goals are that we have FUN while being of service to our communities!!!  less

Musical director, arranger and conductor: Tzvi Sherf The repertoire: a-cappella and accompanied arrangements of Israeli and non Israeli popular songs, jazz standards, Gospel & spirituals, and Jewish and international folklore. During its 25 years of activity, the ensemble has won several first prizes in choral competitions in Israel and Europe, performed in many musical festivals and events, as well as TV shows and radio programs. The ensemble collaborated with top Israeli musicians such as Yoni Rechter, Alon Olearchik and many more. Coral Ensemble has released 3 albums: Coral Ensemble (1994), Troubdour (2010), At This Time (2017), and a recording of Tzvi Sherf's composition, based on 6 Hasidic Nigunim – Kachomer Beyad Hayotzer (As the Clay in the Potter's hand) (2019).  less

Since then...  moreThe Ateneo Chamber Singers (ACS) was formed in 2001 by graduating members of the Ateneo College Glee Club who had then just completed a very successful tour of Europe, bagging top prizes in Italy, Ireland, Slovenia, France, Germany and Hungary. Since then, the ACS has established itself as a formidable presence in the Philippine musical landscape. Their unique specialization in sacred choral music has opened a richly eclectic mix of European, American and Asian choral literature that spans medieval to postmodern periods, traditional to contemporary styles, complex art music to highly-textured indigenous music, and moving sprituals to psalmody hewn out of traditional Asian musics.
