Moses Hogan) is sung by The Central Washington University Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director) at the Santa María de León Cathedral in Léon, Spain. TEXT: Abide with me; fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide. When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me. I need Thy presence every passing hour. What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power? Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me. O Thou who changest not, abide with me. In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me. Amen. We last performed this piece in October 2020 at a concert that took place between two national lockdowns, when it felt especially poignant. We hope you enjoy it. — Accompanied by Sam Hanson on piano This recording is from Christchurch Priory in 2019.
