Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The Choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the Choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. However, this in no way hindered its appeal and it went on to win a number and prestigious competitions including one of the largest Eisteddfods for male Choirs in Wales, an award for services to the arts from Chelmsford City Council and passed the advanced choral singing examination of The Associated Board of the Royal College of Music Successive Musical directors contributed the Choir`s ...    less

Ha desarrollado, por tanto, una importante y extensa labor artística a lo largo de más de veinte años. Sus componentes, entre otras actividades de su amplio currículum Musical, cuentan con la pertenencia al Coro Filarmónico de Europa, formación integrada por coralistas de todos los países de la Comunidad Europea. El grupo ha obtenido -desde el momento mismo de su creación- galardones en distintos certámenes: Primer Premio del Concurso de Villancicos de Hermandades del Trabajo (1990), Primer Premio de los Certámenes de Participación Ciudadana del Ayuntamiento de Madrid (1992), Primer Premio del Concurso para Artistas Noveles Pasa la Vida de RTVE (1994) y Primer Premio en el XXVI Concurso de Villancicos de Colmenar de Oreja (2012). How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, Music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything.
