The word 'vacilando' Is SpanIsh, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the choir will take a more casual approach to music-making, with fewer performances throughout the season than Òran, our young adult choir. From its first steps it attracted attention to the musical community and it also achieved a significant success. Since 2000, the choir led by honored artIst of Belarus Natalia Mihailova. Sacred music and jazz, classical and modern music organically and naturally coexIst in the repertoire of the choir. The creative possibilities of the collective, consIsting of 30 professional musicians, are inexhaustible. They constantly work on new programs of Russian works (D. Bortniansky, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov, G.Sviridov) and Western classics (I.S.Bach, G.Gendel, D.Bukstehude, W.A. Mozart). Then they prepared premieres of works by contemporary Belarusian composers as S.Kortes, V.Kopytko, A. The name of the ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legIslator, after whom a street in Heraklion Is named; in thIs street the first rehearsals of the ensemble took place. The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with the a cappella (“in the chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) vocal music of the renaIssance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G.
