The RSNO Chorus has also had great success in recording with the Orchestra. The RSNO Chorus evolved from a choir formed in 1843 to sing the first full performance of Handel's Messiah in Scotland. Today, the RSNO Chorus is one of the most successful Choruses in the UK. In recent years, the Chorus has performed practically every work in the standard choral repertoire along with contemporary works by renowned composers, including John Adams, Magnus Lindberg, Howard Shore and James MacMillan.  less

Since then we have recorded with everyone from CHER to Pink and have appeared in commercials, movies and television shows (including Modern Family, ‘I Think You Should Leave’, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, The Tonight Show, Jennifer Hudson, etc.). We sang on the #1 song of the year for 2012 (We Are Young by Fun) which has been seen on YouTube over 1 Billion times. Last year we were asked to sing with Eurovision runner up Eden Golan on her song ‘Older” dealing with a child’s view of war.  less

We are a Chorus of about 100 singers performing 3 or 4 major choral works per year. We also sing in some of the most renowned cathedrals in the UK

The very existence and successful work is the largest choir incentive and support talented children to build and improve their talent, and through further education and training contribute to the cultural and any other development of their region.
