This is the Santiago Veros' most ambitious project yet: a Mass constructed year by year, forming an unparalleled consortium. Every movement of this mass is powered by a distinct consortium, uniting choirs from every corner of the earth. Year after year, we unveil new segments, slowly revealing the full magnificence of this work. Our jOurney is set to culminate in 2030, by which time we aim to have united 50 choirs in this extraordinary musical voyage. The World Youth Choir is a really original social and artistic project. Artistically speaking, it is a unique experience for young singers to develop their musical and vocal talents by interacting with internationally recognized conductors and challenging repertoires in a professional level. The University Singers have performed throughout the world, and have sung with a variety of professional orchestras including the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the batons of conductors such as Carl St.Clair, John Mauceri, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart.
