The Choir is composed of 16-20 singers from all majors who perform a variety of music, from classical, to folk, to contemporary jazz. Members of the Wesleyan Chorale also perform in the Wesleyan singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

Due to an intensive and hard work, its members receive a full choral and scenic education, structured in the vocal individual technique and its different types of sound emission; on the development of corporal skills expression, and in the grupal practice of the choral exercise. This education is complemented by the permanent contact with other artistic disciplines as ballet and theatre are. The Choir was found in April 1994 and called after the central street of Kiev. The Choir acquired the status of ‘municipal’ in 1999, and has been financed by the Kievan Mayor’s Office since then. In December 2009, the ensemble became ‘academic’. From February 2011 the official name “Khreschatyk” Academic Chamber Choir. Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine Larisa Bukhonskaya was the Choir founder and its Artistic Director until 2007. Since August 2007, after winning a representative contest, Pavel Struts, previously a long-standing Coryphaeus, became the Choir’s Artistic Director. The honorary title of Distinguished Artist of Ukraine was awarded to Pavel Struts in December 2009.  less

The group's first piece—William Byrd’s “This sweet and merry month of May”, whose ending celebrated Queen Elizabeth I with the words And greet Eliza with a rhyme: O beauteous Queen of Second Troy, Take well in worth a simple toy. provided a great name for the group. Eliza’s Toyes was born, and existed every summer in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2008, a fair number of singers who were in Eliza's Toyes are living in Madison once again. Thus we gather, outside of the Festival, for the joy of music making. It is our pleasure to continue sharing this wonderful body of music with you for the second year!  less

The Choir was founded in 2005 by several of St. Therese’s young parishioners, and currently has 53 singers from 27 different parishes in Archdiocese of Jakarta and 3 parishes in Archdiocese of Bogor. As the number of singers grows, Cappella Victoria Jakarta evolves to focus on singing Sacred Polyphony music from the end of the 16th century, especially Roman Polyphony music and its various modern interpretations. Since 2006, Cappella Victoria Jakarta routinely sings Sacred Polyphony music in Eucharistic Mass in St. Therese of Lisieux Parish. The Choir has also sung Sacred Polyphony music in several other Catholic churches in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung and Semarang.
