The choir promotes European and Croatian musical heritage giving concerts both home and outside Zagreb, but also enjoys performing classical music to the audience that does not tend to go to cultural events. Since 2007, the choir has been conducted by Ms. Elena Konovalova. Under her guidance, the choir won first place at Zagreb Singing Choirs Competition 2012, in Vocal Ensembles category. Our mission as an Ensemble is to connect with the community and each other through the exploration of quality choral music, including the promotion of women composers, within an engaging, encouraging, and intergenerational environment focused on healthy vocal technique and artistic excellence. We encourage those with children to join us as we have a tandem youth choral program (Consonare Youth Choirs) that rehearses at the same time.  less

MGC travelled widely in Europe and had a high standard. In 2003, we changed our name to Manx Voices. We love singing to community groups, in church services and concerts. We compete in our local music festivals and have sung on stage with Blake. We are a very democratic, mutually supportive group of women ranging in age from 10 to 70!
