We have an inclusive approach, so our singers have different levels of vocal experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men, whilst aiming to achieve the highest possible standards.

The group was set up to perform exciting vocal material at a variety of events, and to give men and women who love singing, the platform to get involved in a fun and sociable musical experience. The Voice Of The Town family has now grown and not only do we have our choirs in Newcastle and Birmingham, but we also have choirs in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

During the choir’s existence, it has taken par... moreFounded in June 1977, the present Whitehaven Male Voice Choir has established an enviable reputation among the musical world of male Voices in Britain, along with appearances on local radio and television.
During the choir’s existence, it has taken part in many musical festivals, and proven its quality by winning many first prizes, and has been joined in concert by world renowned soloists and choirs from Britain and America.
Every year, the choir perform around twenty concerts throughout Cumbria, raising thousands of pounds for charitable organisations and other worthy causes. The services of the choir are provided entirely free of charge to the organisations they perform for.
Outside the county they have performed in such notable venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London; on three occasions, Cardiff Arms Park; twice, Sheffield Arena and in Edinburgh.

For many people, ‘Male Voice Choir’ evokes images of men in blazers standing on a windy hillside singing Men of Harlech. But not all men’s choirs are like that and Bournemouth Male Voice Choir certainly isn’t. Not only is our music diverse – spanning everything from Palestrina and Poulenc to Take That and Queen – but the range of venues we sing in and the diversity of our members’ interests means that BMVC has something for everyone.

Ably assisted by, now ... moreThe Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir (TWMVC) was established in 1995 gathering together a group of like-minded individuals of Welsh heritage sought to kindle the spirit of traditional Welsh male Voice singing in their adopted country. Ably assisted by, now emeritus, music director David Low, the founding members saw their numbers grow to a membership of sixty choristers. the choir continues to grow musically under the direction of William Woloschuk and accompanist Matthew Coons. Although many of the current members still lay claim to Welsh connections, the TWMVC now has members from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
The TWMVC proudly draws on the great Welsh tradition of singing hymns and songs born of the mountains and valleys of Wales. At the same time it emphasizes a multicultural context in its broad repertoire which also includes spirituals; operatic arias, Canadian folk songs as well as Broadway show tunes and contemporary music.
