We have fun as we build friendships with singers from many schools, sing a wide variety of music and bring joy to the community. We are ideal for singers who want more singing in their life! We are proud of our alumni singing at NOVA, NYU, JMU, UNT, Bridgewater, Longwood & Westchester.

We welcome people of all nationalities and faiths, who want to experience the joy of singing and exploring music as a way of building community based on love and respect. The Choir performs several major concerts each year; its Christmas and Spring concerts in Amman are highly anticipated events. Dozan wa Awtar’s repertoire includes a wide range of sacred music, from Byzantine hymns through the chorale classics of Western music to the present day and Islamic anasheed. The Choir also enjoys performing secular music, including folk songs from around the world, Broadway hits and arrangements of popular, contemporary music in many languages. A sub-group of the Choir, called “Dozan,” is specializing in performing traditional and contemporary music in Arabic. At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subs...  moreOn February 11th 1962, few ITB students established Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung (PSM-ITB or ITB Student Choir) which was the first university-based Choir in Indonesia. At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national Choir competitions and repeatedly won the first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of the most established Choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, the Choir has been given the chance to perform in events attended by the President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in concerts, occasionally collaborated with other Choirs and orchestras. In 1968 PSM-ITB organized the 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Since then the festival is held biannually and becomes the largest national Choir event in term of categories (from children to adult and folklore catagories) and participants. Conducted by Dr Shirley Court. The Chanterelles is a ladies Choir from all over the UK. Originating from a Leicestershire Youth Choir and reforming as an adult Choir in February 2009, members now come together to perform about five times each year. Having tasted success as a Youth Choir in Llangollen in 1998, the Choir returned in their new guise as a Female Choir In July 2010, winning their section and taking their place in the Choir of the World competition. This success was followed by concerts in Macclesfield and Birmingham and a win at the North Wales Choral Festival in November 2011. In 2012, the Choir competed in the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at the Cork Choral Festival and won 2nd prize in this year's International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. The BoyChoir’s reputation for excellence has brought invitations from local and national music conventions, as well as sporting events and touring Broadway companies. The BoyChoir has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Prague Philharmonic, Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion on National Public Radio, amongst others. This season our Choirboys will be featured in Minnesota American Choral Directors Association’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Golden Finale Concert along with first-time appearances with the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Edina Chorale and St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church Choir (Orff’s Carmina Burana).
