I had the honour of making the announcement on behalf of Archbishop Desmond and Mrs Leah Tutu, who have given me permission to develop the initiative around the world, in support of their own Justice, Peace and Reconciliation work. The Archbishop first heard Choir Invisible perform outside and inside the King's Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on 11 July 2008, at a Civic Reception held in his honour. He was, quite simply, spellbound by the Choir and an immediate rapport was established. Upon his arrival at the King's Hall, the harmony of the Choir, singing a Swahili love song 'Malaika' (My Angel), caused him to stop and listen. Their goal is to sing different styles of Music and work with various other groups, present high quality Musical projects, as well as take part in competitions and Festivals in Lithuania and abroad. On December 1, 2013, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius rocked the country’s choral Music scene and accomplished unthinkable. Each Musical season of „LELIUMAI“ is designated to performances of Choir Music to the listeners in cities and towns in Lithuania, extraordinary Festivals and meetings with the Choirs abroad, unforgetable participation in Lithuanian Song Festivals. During its history „LELIUMAI“ has been awarded the highest titles in national Choir competitions in Lithuania, has won the third prize at the international Choir competition in Ireland (Cork) in 1983.
