The Chamber Choir rehearses twice a week in a friendly yet serious environment. The Chamber Choir sings a varied repertoire of classical liturgical and secular music from the Renaissance to the present, as well as arrangements of spirituals and songs from around the world, Israeli and Jewish music, and more. The choir performs regularly in churches and concert spaces in Jerusalem and around Israel and has performed in festivals and programs in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United States, and Switzerland. The Jerusalem Oratorio Chamber Choir is an unaffiliated choir whose membership spans the religious/secular and political divide in Israeli society. The choir accepts members without discrimination as to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or political affiliation. Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights ...  moremen2sing are a vibrant group, singing songs that cross many different styles of music. Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. However, this in no way hindered its appeal and it went on to win a number and prestigious competitions including one of the largest Eisteddfods for male choirs in Wales, an award for services to the arts from Chelmsford City Council and passed the advanced choral singing examination of The Associated Board of the Royal College of Music Successive musical directors contributed the choir`s ...    less

Our home is in heaven, this is a promise, So say yes to salvation." Part of the winter Singing Safari concert, Ipswich 2013. From the singing of the Soweto Gospel Choir, arranged by Chris Rowbury. This concert was the culmination of a six-week project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of Singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear.
