It is accessible for all fine high school, collegiate and community choral ensembles. NDV, whose concerts range in style and period from The medieval to The contemporary, takes special pleasure in exploring The music of Living composers and has given many Irish premières –including James Macmillan’s Cantos Sagrados and Penderecki’s Stabat Mater – as well as eight world premières of works by Irish composers including Linda Buckley, Enda Bates, Jonathan Nangle, Garrett Sholdice, and Ian Wilson. As well as giving concerts, NDV is a regular participant in competitions, both internationally and at home in Ireland. Recent awards include:
• Italy: Three prizes at The 2010 Concorso Polifónico Guido d'Arezzo including First Prize in The Renaissance competition.
• Ireland: Second Prize overall, The Schuman/Europe Award, and The International Jury Award at The 2010 Fleischmann International Competition, Cork International Choral Festival.

Founded by singers and beatboxers from The... moreNew a cappella group The Refrains are quickly establishing Themselves on The thriving a cappella scene in London. The group is made up of twenty-somethings (mostly!) who are young professionals Living in London. Founded by singers and beatboxers from The likes of The International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, Last Choir Standing and Britain's Got Talent favourites Out of The Blue, The group’s repertoire spans from Billy Joel to The Black Eyed Peas, via pop, jazz, barbershop, rap and original composition as They offer a programme of sumptuous jazz arrangements, genre jumping covers and assorted originals. Following a successful run at The Edinburgh Fringe, The Refrains enjoyed a sold-out London debut at The Forge, Camden. Recent gigs have included The London A Cappella Festival, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Silver Bullet and private events.
