It is the Choir's mission since its existence to captivate audiences with versatile and enjoyable singing which is passionately presented by each member. The Choir consists of 58 learners, under direction of Stefan Buys and accompanied by Brigitte Botha.

The Choir was established in 1996 (originally in the Lehava High School for Girls) by singer/choral conductor Nomi Teplow with the goal of bringing together Girls with musical ability to work on a highly professional level and produce a wide variety of vocal music. The Choir is comprised of 25-30 Girls from areas throughout Samaria ranging in age from 13-18 years. The Shir-El Choir performs in concerts and at vocal conventions across the country bringing fine singing, rich harmonies and words of hope, faith and love of Israel to a broad range of audiences. The Shir E-l Choir has won first place several times in the national choral competition for high school Choirs sponsored by the Israel Ministry of Education. Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with the inception of the school. In these few years, the young all-Girls Choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under the direction of their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, the Choir has garnered num...  more Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with the inception of the school. In these few years, the young all-Girls Choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under the direction of their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, the Choir has garnered numerous accolades and awards to their name. In 2010 the Choir won the Gold Award at the 3rd Orientale Concentus International Choral Competition in Yilan, Taiwan. The Choir was also Category Winner and was one of four Choirs to be invited to compete in the grand finals. In 2011 the Choir attained their first Silver award at the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs. In the same year they came in 2nd at the National A Capella Championships. The Choir has also collaborated with numerous national ensembles such as the Singapore Police Force Band and Choir and the Singapore Armed Forces Band.
