We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30. This is an auditioned group with considerable musical and choral experience, one that aspires to a higher standard of performance. Our members include amateur and professional musicians, choir directors and music educators. Prospective members may audition from time to time as positions come open. Contact The choir if you have an interest in joining.

The roses bloom in The month of May,
But my soul's full of gloom suffering in love.
The nightingales sing and are sighing in love,
The passion will kill me, multiply my pain.
Come faster, oh dove, come faster to me,
Come faster, my soul, because I shall die.

A joik is a unique form of cultural expression for The Sámi people (or Lapps - region stretches over four countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia). This type of song can be deeply personal or spiritual in nature, often dedicated to a human being, an animal, or a landscape as a personal signature. According to music researchers, joik is one of The longest living music traditions in Europe, and is The folk music of The Sámi people. Its sound is comparable to The traditional chanting of some Native American cultures.
