It h...  moreThe Choir has performed in all of London’s major concert halls, churches and cathedrals, including the Southbank Centre, the Barbican, the Royal Albert Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James's Piccadilly, St Paul's Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral. It has also performed at Abbey Road Studios, the London O2 Arena and Hampton Court Palace. Abroad, the Choir has given concerts in the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and the Pushkin Palace outside St Petersburg, at festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Strasbourg, Aachen and Cork, and at other important venues in Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Holland, Iceland, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Latvia. The Choir’s repertoire is broad, ranging from the great choral and orchestral works by Verdi, Brahms, Mozart, Handel and Bach to contemporary commissions. We began rehearsals in the fall of 2018 for a holiday show that we performed at a neighborhood block party, and special guest JoAnne Worley c...  moreWe started this Choir in our neighborhood to give regular people the chance to sing and learn from professionals. We began rehearsals in the fall of 2018 for a holiday show that we performed at a neighborhood block party, and special guest JoAnne Worley came and performed with us. Everyone had such a good time, we decided to continue on the following spring. If it catches on, we hope to get our nonprofit status.
