From 2001-2017 the choir was directed by jazz musician and conductor Fraser Gartshore. The current Musical director is composer and conductor Stephen Harrap. We specialise in English-language Choral music, both sacred and secular. The choir performs regularly in and around Bonn and is best known for its traditional Christmas carol services and concerts. The Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. ...  moreThe Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. The choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue. The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12. The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned choir for older children and teens.  less

Founded in 1934, the Victoria Choral Society has played a leading role in Victoria's cultural life, and has performed with every Victoria Symphony conductor since the Symphony’s inception. The choir was created after 200 singers, representing most of the church choirs of the day in Victoria, assembled in 1934 to sing Messiah. They agreed to continue singing together to promote Choral music, and the Victoria Choral Society, at that time called the Victoria Choral Union, was formed. The instrumentalists who played with the choir later formed the Victoria Symphony.
