The University School Glee Club is one of the school's oldest organizations dedicated to high quality Choral singing and superior Musical education for its members. The group performs several concerts each year and has toured throughout North America and Europe.

We accomplish our mission by combining the power of women's experience with Musical expression in the following ways: 1) each season we commission one new piece for women's voices from a female composer; 2) each season, we research, uncover and perform a work for women's voices by a female composer who has been overlooked in music history; 3) we provide an annual scholarship to one girl to sing with the Phoenix Girl's Chorus and 4) each season, we perform two annual concerts and a variety of local performances in our communities and schools.  less

Sin...  moreWhen Fred Reinagel founded The Vail Chorale in 2011, his goal was simple: to create a non-auditioned community chorus that would provide an opportunity for Choral music-maKing on Tucson’s east side, welcoming singers of all ages and Musical skills. Since its inception, The Vail Chorale has been entertaining local audiences with Fall and Spring concerts that feature Musical styles for every taste. Performances have taken place at various locations including Empire and Cienega High Schools, the Arizona Senior Academy, and the Del Webb Lodge at Rancho del Lago. Chorale members have included high school students as well as adults of all ages, who have found that the intergenerational experience has added to the fun of singing together. The Boychoir has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Prague Philharmonic, Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion on National Public Radio, amongst others. The Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. ...  moreThe Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a Choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. The choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue. The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12. The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned choir for older children and teens.  less
