The Choir is conducted by the Director of Chapel Music, assisted by two organ scholars. The Choir makes occasional visits to other British churches and cathedrals, as well as an annual foreign tour, recent destinations have included USA, Mexico, Sweden, Thailand, Rome and Prague. Emmanuel College Choir has released a number of recordings, most recently a CD of works by the Edwardian composer E W Naylor, a former Organist and Honorary Fellow of the College. He decided to call this one-man Choir the dwsChorale. The range is bottom bass D to top alto e. Most recordings were done between 2005 and 2009. Only time will tell whether the dwsChorale will be revived, but David keeps composing anyway, so who knows....

We rehearsed for most of the day in ...  moreOn 24th November 2012 we brought together 98 singers and four Choral directors for our most ambitious project to date: a Choral workshop on Thomas Tallis' monumental 40-part motet, 'Spem in Alium', composed in 1570. We rehearsed for most of the day in two-Choir sections, with our four Choral directors, Scott Inglis-Kidger, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Riccardo Bonci and Jonny Davies. After lunch we began to put the sections together. At 4pm we brought all 8 Choirs together and Scott Inglis-Kidger led a most thrilling final performance.
