The choir participates each year in about two dozens of concerts, in Portugal and abroad.

It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent. In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante Manila has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are the 2nd choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), the 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2003) and the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, the choir won the 1st and 2nd Prizes at the 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittalan der Drau, Austria and the 1st Prize at the 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain. Since then we have recorded with everyone from CHER to Pink and have appeared in commercials, movies and television sHows (including Modern Family, ‘I Think You Should Leave’, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, The Tonight SHow, Jennifer Hudson, etc.). We sang on the #1 song of the year for 2012 (We Are Young by Fun) which has been seen on YouTube over 1 Billion times. Last year we were asked to sing with Eurovision runner up Eden Golan on her song ‘Older” dealing with a child’s view of war.  less
