Each season we perform Choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra.
We have recently performed: The Mozart Requiem, The Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing The Verdi Messa Da Requiem under The artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born.
We love making great music togeTher, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. We are a jovial and friendly group of people from all walks of life who enjoy singing togeTher.

About Opus Nuovo:
This season, we launched an ongoing commissioning project as a commitment to a diverse and inclusive approach to Choral programming. Through this innovation, we are seeking to broaden The landscape of The Choral repertoire for both student and professional Choirs. Over The next three years, our singers will collaborate with ten global composers to facilitate The creation of a collection of new Choral works which, aligned with BCC’s vision of cultural equity, represent a truly diverse spectrum of global musical styles and approaches. he Marion Consort, under The artistic direction of Amy Bearden, is an a cappella ensemble specializing in The Choral music of The Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. Since forming in November of 2010, The Marion Consort have performed in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Arlington Heights. This past August, They had The privilege of performing at The Chicago Cultural Center as part of The Classical Music Mondays series. Their mission is to present performances for various audiences with music by well known composers, while also exploring The works of lesser known composers. The Marion Consort can divide into duos, trios, octets, etc. for a well-rounded and blended performance.
