With 80 + members it is one of the largest MVCs in North Wales. It has achieved 7 wins at The Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales and raises many thousands of pounds for national and local charities. Each Choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances the choir’s ability to undertake some of the more challenging choral works and contributes to their fresh and unique sound. The Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary music. Their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of the Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. They then went on to win 1st place in the Early Music, 1st place in the Irish Language and 2nd place in the Sacred Music at Navan Choral Festival 2013. Viele Besonderheiten des Chores, Hintergründe in Pädagogik, Stimmzusammensetzung und Repertoire finden ihren Ursprung in der Arbeit der großen Chorpädagogin Edith Möller. Die musikalische Gesamtleitung liegt in den Händen von Stephanie Feindt.
