The choir, which operates in the far south of SERBIA for years, despite all the social and economic circumstances, represents a qualitative benchmark of children's choir singing in SERBIA. The very existence and successful work is the largest choir incentive and support talented children to build and improve their talent, and through further education and training contribute to the cultural and any other development of their region. Music as a separate and clear illustration of the atmosphere, geography, traditions and cultural code, this choir with special kind of social engagement symbolizes the socio-political background of which is aimed at awakening cultural awareness and human self-consciousness. Under the direction of its founder, artistic director and conductor Silvester Hajnal, the Choir managed to attain great reputation in the country and abroad in a short period of time. The Choir’s repertoire includes the works of both Yugoslav and foreign composers, from early renaissance to contemporary authors. The academic background , tradition and reputation of the choir are confirming it’s high artistic achievements. During it’s long history the choir won many prestigious awards at numerous competitions and festivals . The choir’s primary goals are: preserving and nurturing local and foreign secular and spiritual choral art, expanding culture, art and musical amateurism, engaging in various ceremonies, contests and other public performances. In achieving these goals, special attention is paid to professional and musical developing of singers and developing civic awareness and academic life.
