"O Fortuna" is a medieval Latin Goliardic poem written early in the 13th century, part of the collection known as the Carmina Burana. It is a complaint about Fortuna, the inexorable fate that rules both gods and men in Roman and Greek mythology.

"And the Wind" is the final piece in a group of three settings of poems from Fletcher LaVallee Bartholomew's collection entitled "And the Wind: Gnostic Poems 1945 - 1979." Duration: Approximately 4 minutes.

This short choral piece is in my collection The New Gloria Deo, Volume Two published by Augsburg Fortress. The pictures were taken by the C & O Canal near Harper's Ferry, WV. The recording is the publisher's demo recording.

The Choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the Choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire.
