Come experience the joy of Latin American music through Choral singing! Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur. The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015. The repertoire performed by Amazonia Vocal Ensemble is typically in Spanish but also in other American languages and original dialects such us Portuguese (Brazil), Papiamento (Aruba-Curazao), Quechua (Perú) and Chiquitano (Bolivia) among others.  less

Vinka Buric. The choir is been active and performing in Croatia and abroad. Its performance has been noticed at various competitions. In the near future the choir plans a Christmas concert (22-12-2012) at the Rondo Histriae Concert Hall in Pula. There will be a variety of seasonal classical and popular evergreens.

In the present time, Antiphona acts as an nonprofit civil association of culture promotion. The choir has been conducted by Mtro. Juan Carlos Bersague from 1995 to 2008. From 2010, Antiphona Titular Conductor is Mtro. César Alejandro Carrillo. We have taken part in many Choral competitions around Ireland with Success in New Ross, Arklow, Navan, Sligo and Cork. In 2013 we joined Wide Open Music in a performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which was received with great enthusiasm. In the same year we also joined Opera Theatre Company for two performances in their tour to promote young Irish soloists. The choir's size allows it to concentrate on performing the larger major Choral works to great effect.
