I had the honour of making the announcement on behalf of Archbishop Desmond and Mrs Leah Tutu, who have given me permission to develop the initiative around the world, in support of their own Justice, Peace and Reconciliation work. The Archbishop first heard Choir Invisible perform outside and inside the King's Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on 11 July 2008, at a Civic Reception held in his honour. He was, quite simply, spellbound by the Choir and an immediate rapport was established. Upon his arrival at the King's Hall, the harmony of the Choir, singing a Swahili love song 'Malaika' (My Angel), caused him to stop and listen. The No 1 mixed Choir in Lithuania Founded in 2009, mixed voices Bel Canto Choir Vilnius is officially confirmed as the best volunteer Choir in Lithuania. The Choir unites more than 60 singers, who have extensive singing experience in various Choirs in Lithuania, and whose desire is to have quality leisure time and enjoy one of life’s most pleasant activities – singing. Their goal is to sing different styles of music and work with various other groups, present high quality musical projects, as well as take part in competitions and festivals in Lithuania and abroad. On December 1, 2013, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius rocked the country’s choral music scene and accomplished unthinkable.
