Performing a repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to unique jazz and pop arrangements, the group has been praised for stunning performance, exquisite singing and creating a sound that spans the entire range of vocal colour. Founded in 2003 by ex-choristers of Westminster Abbey, VOCES8 first achieved success in 2005, winning first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Gorizia, Italy. Subsequently the group has performed widely in the UK, Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. VOCES8’s career has developed both in the classical choral scene and the world of a cappella. Our performances intentionally address themes highlighting diverse solo and choral voices, new and underrepresented composers, visual and other performing Arts, and community partners. Resonance seeks to reflect on the most pressing social issues of our times through performing new music and sharing many perspectives. As Oregon Arts Watch wrote in June 2019, “they do social justice music justice: their concerts are part social commentary, part group therapy, and part best damn Choir show in town.” Our concerts are designed to reflect the times, and audience members often tell us that they see their experiences reflected in our thought-provoking performances.  less

During its 25 years of activity, the ensemble has won several first prizes in choral competitions in Israel and Europe, performed in many musical festivals and events, as well as TV shows and radio programs. The ensemble collaborated with top Israeli musicians such as Yoni Rechter, Alon Olearchik and many more. Coral Ensemble has released 3 albums: Coral Ensemble (1994), Troubdour (2010), At This Time (2017), and a recording of Tzvi Sherf's composition, based on 6 Hasidic Nigunim – Kachomer Beyad Hayotzer (As the Clay in the Potter's hand) (2019).  less

Our goal is to make a great choral sound by learning and working together. We sing both the classics and the fun songs but our chief goals are that we have FUN while being of service to our communities!!!  less

Composé de près de cent choristes issus de Meudon ou de communes voisines, le Chœur de Meudon a pour objectif la diffusion d'œuvres chorales sacrées ou non de toutes époques, du Baroque au XXème siècle, au rythme d'environ deux programmes par an. Le Chœur de Meudon se produit avec des formations orchestrales professionnelles ou amateur tant à Meudon que dans de grands lieux : églises de La Madeleine, Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile, Saint-Roch, Salle Gaveau, Atrium de Chaville, Cathédrale d'Evry... The composition is divided into two repeated sections. In the first section, the choral texture is homo-rhythmic and in the second section, the voices are set into a simple counterpoint. “I Never Saw” closes on the dominant chord creating a feeling of suspension that enhances the concept of faith expressed by Dickinson.

Open to beginners or those wishing to improve their technique with industry professionals from the UK. Over 12 weeks students will follow a curriculum tailored to helping each student develop at their own speed in all three areas of the artform. In Singing students will leave voice techniques, explore ensemble singing and perform a variety of repertoire. In acting students will learn how to develop character in scenes and songs, explore the physical journey of a character, improve stage presence and text analysis. In dance students will look at a variety of jazz techniques core to musical theatre dance as well as perform several musical theatre routines.
