Much of the music we sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you.  less

We do a wide variety of music from Renaissance to contemporary and from a cappella to works with chamber orchestra. We are a fun loving, very friendly group. However, our music comes first and hard work is required of all. An audition is required. Our Music Director is William R. Thomas.

With two musical productions “Buenas Versiones” (2008) and “Rumba Romance” (2011) the Band has based their work on research and development of new ways of interpreting a cappella Vocal music of various genres, in implementing voices assemblies and timbres that inspired the creation of strings, wind and percussion. Thus, they recreate repertoires and original sounds of Venezuela and Latin American, which makes the band a new identity communication vehicle and the artistic and cultural development of the region. Repertoire encom...  moreFounded in October 2008 by Katharina Megli, the Lucy Cavendish Singers are a small choir of around 16 women. Membership is by audition only. All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encompasses Jazz, show tunes and folk songs as well as opera and the classical repertoire. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, as well as singers drawn from the wider community.
