The group was founded in 2001 in Leioa's the MUSIC School by Basilio Astulez, its current conductor. Kantika's repertorie has always balanced folk, sacrum and contemporary MUSIC. Due to the projects such as operas, international tours and TV concerts the choir enjoys a fine popularity.

Sin...  moreWhen Fred Reinagel founded The Vail Chorale in 2011, his goal was simple: to create a non-auditioned community chorus that would provide an opportunity for choral MUSIC-making on Tucson’s east side, welcoming singers of all ages and MUSICal skills. Since its inception, The Vail Chorale has been entertaining local audiences with Fall and Spring concerts that feature MUSICal styles for every taste. Performances have taken place at various locations including Empire and Cienega HIGH Schools, the Arizona Senior Academy, and the Del Webb Lodge at Rancho del Lago. Chorale members have included HIGH school students as well as adults of all ages, who have found that the intergenerational experience has added to the fun of singing together. Concert attendees have remarked at the obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm that comes across to the audience. The Vail Chorale is directed by Fred Reinagel, the Chorale’s founder. World Champions (Scenic Folklore - WCG2012). The premier performance ensemble of Kearsney College, a leading independent HIGH school for boys in South Africa. Winners of 10 Gold Medals (incl 3 World Champion Titles) at the World Choir Games 2000-2012. Boys join the choir as an extra-curricular activity, amid academic, sporting and other cultural activities. Approx. 40 performances per year, including national/international tours.  less
