Founded in New York City in 2008 by Artistic Director Vince Peterson, the organization now encompasses: a roster of professional Ensemble singers, a volunteer chorus of 40-50 adults and an annual week-long Summer Institute in Brooklyn for composers and conductors. Though founded and based in Whitby, our membership is made up of residents from all over Durham Region and the GTA. We truly represent and reflect the diversity of the Region in which we perform. In July 2011, they sang in Ottawa at the Unisong festival for Canada Day, and in July 2013 the group was featured at the presitigious and exciting international Festival 500 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. We also sing sacred, gospel, Jazz, pop and world music, with the odd novelty number thrown in!
