Born and raised in Ukrainia dr. Myroslaw Antonowycz conducted the worship services in Culemborg for the reestablished Ukrainian seminar. After the seminarians were graduated, they swarmed out to fulfill their priestly vocation for the Ukrainians all over the world. the now outside the monastery walls well-known seminarian choir fell apart while applications for the singing of liturgies and concerts throughout the Netherlands, kept coming.
On the initiative of Msgr. AG Smith, dr. Antonowycz founded the Utrecht Byzantine Choir on February 9, 1951, consisting of only Dutch men, who specialized in singing the liturgy according to the Slavic-Byzantine rite.
In cooperation with the Apostolate of the Eastern Churches, the UBK initially only sang liturgies according to the Byzantine Rite. Hundreds of parishes in the Netherlands became familiar with ... less

It was born thanks to its director, Ludovico (Dodo) Versino, who instilled the love for choral music in high school students all across Rome, which led them all to become friends.
It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get together, rather than as a formal choir.
they don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting place, or a specific repertoire genre.
Only one thing is certain: they tell their story through their singing, so come listen the coro che non c’è less

A CAPPELLA ENSEMBLE is an amateur vocal group that was born in February, 2015, with the goal to present itself at concerts, with choral works a cappella. However it does not exempt the work of works accompanied by instrumental ensemble, piano, etc.
This group's training base is four singers, two of them music professionals, malleable according to the repertoire, joining more singers if so required.
Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G. Orbán, etc.
Since its foundation the a cappella ensemble is directed and conducted by António Lourenço Menezes.

In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his composition "Northern Lights"-- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the project was entitled "In the Moment".
the other composition to which he created an improvised accompaniment was "Ubi Caritas". He also accompanied the choir on "the Ground", which includes CWU's resident faculty quartet -- the Kairos String Quartet.
