Our mission as an ensemble is to connect with the community and each other through the exploration of quality choral Music, including the promotion of women composers, within an engaging, encouraging, and intergenerational environment focused on healthy vocal technique and artistic excellence. During it’s long history the choir won many prestigious awards at numerous competitions and festivals . The choir’s primary goals are: preserving and nurturing local and foreign secular and spiritual choral art, expanding culture, art and Musical amateurism, engaging in various ceremonies, contests and other public performances. In achieving these goals, special attention is paid to professional and Musical developing of singers and developing civic awareness and academic life. We make numerous cathedral visits throughout the year, but also offer occasional sung services to smaller churches without a choir. We also offer fundraising concerts for charities, building appeals, etc. and are available to hire for weddings, funerals and other occasions.  

Formed in April 2020 as a result of COVID-19, the group started to continue the passion we all share in Music.

In the World choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
