Several months previous, a number of likeminded individuals began to visualise the formation of a Male Choir for the Lower Llynfi VAlley, something which this area of the County Borough of Bridgend, South Wales lacked. Following lengthy discussions with a number of experienced and well respected ChoriSters, we came up with some basic philosophies. • Keep the Choir to a manageable size • Take our music to the community-at-large • EStablish ourselves as a quality musical group • Encourage less experienced ChoriSters to grow in ability and musicality • Share our joy in singing One thing was fundamental, and that was to keep the Choir `Ego-Free` their mantra being ‘Leave your Egos at the door as it’s the music that matters’.
