From its first steps it attracted attention to the Musical community and it also achieved a significant success. Since 2000, the Choir led by honored artist of Belarus Natalia Mihailova. Sacred Music and jazz, classical and modern Music organically and naturally coexist in the repertoire of the Choir. The creative possibilities of the collective, consisting of 30 professional Musicians, are inexhaustible. They constantly work on new programs of Russian works (D. Bortniansky, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov, G.Sviridov) and Western classics (I.S.Bach, G.Gendel, D.Bukstehude, W.A. Mozart). Then they prepared premieres of works by contemporary Belarusian composers as S.Kortes, V.Kopytko, A. Tomislav Veršić in the School year 1992/93 by merging two School ensembles founded a year earlier: Girls’ Choir, and traditional Dalmatian male vocal group (so-called “klapa”) “Šufit”. At the end of the following School year, the Choir participated for the first time at the Croatian Youth Music Festival, choral competition which is traditionally held in Varaždin, thereby winning the Silver Plaque. In 1996 the performance of the Choir at the same event was rewarded with Gold Plaque. After this success, the Choir received new, more experienced members, and began to act as the Mixed Choir of Cultural and Artistic Association “Aspalathos”. Although new ensemble soon became well recognized and multiply awarded, it ceased to be a part of the School and thus of this historical review as well.
