Domenico Savio" was born in 1999 with the desire to build through music, experience of collaboration and sharing. Over the years the interest in polyphony, the study of the repertoire and the vocal approach has grown. The group has joined the A.R.S. cori (Regional Association of Choirs of Sicily) and consequently to FENIARCO (National Association of choirs) with the involvement in all the regional and national demonstrations promoted by the aforementioned organism: exhibitions, concerts and gatherings for choirs. Numerous shows are made, we mention some more suggestive: the performance of some unpublished musical works by don Luigi Sturzo edited by Nicolò Maccavino of the Italian Society of Musicology (2003).  "The word sung" the multimedia show for chorus-voices, video projections and orchestra (2009); the CD recording of the traditional POPO MEO of the Easter Triduum in Scordia (2009); the event "et incarnatus est", symphonic lyric concert for solo...    less

The choir’s work was interrupted for several years during its members’ academic education, as well as during their participation in different musical projects. The present line-up has been steady since 2006. Their repertoire offers a variety of styles of great difficulty and chromatic richness, and tries to take advantage of the cultural and geographic circumstances which make of the Canary Islands a multicultural place. A remarkable feature of the group is their willingness to innovate within the choral music. Their versatility and the variety of repertoire they face can be seen in the different projects they have taken part in: short operas, official or private events, festivals, and monographic concerts on different subjects. A few instances of the choir’s late activity are the following: - Several concerts in Moscow in December 2006, as guests of the Spanish Embassy. - P...    less

E pure certo, so cosa intendi. Pure il suo volto più non lo rammento, questo rammento: l’ho baciato un giorno. Ed anche il bacio avrei...    less
