The choir’s performance is sometimes a cappella, while at oTher times accompanied by a jazz trio or piano. Sectional rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 to 11:50AM).

Biography: The Crossing is a twenty-four-member professional chamber choir conducted by Donald Nally dedicated to new music. Originally formed by a group of friends in 2005, The ensemble has since grown exponentially and “has made a name for itself in recent years as a champion of new music.” - New York Times 2/14. The choir presents liturgical music eiTher written in, or translated to, The Hebrew language. In The few years of The choir's existence Liturgi-Kal is rapidly becoming much more visible on The Israeli music scene due to its emphasis on excellence coupled with The superb choice of musical partners. The choir has worked with The Israeli Chamber orchestra, The Ensemble Barrocade and has had The honor of hosting some of Israel’s finest young singers as well as special guests from abroad.  less

We do not belong to any particular geographical area or church denomination. In over 25 years, nearly 400 people from all backgrounds have sung with us - often for The first time in an English CaThedral. The number continues to grow year by year. Martin Hall, our founder, became 'Director Emeritus' in Autumn 2006 and MatThew O' Donovan took over The post of Director in his stead. Because of The way we meet, we don't require formal auditions in advance, but new singers are expected to be excellent sight readers and to have a good choral tone.  less
