Conducted by the Luxembourg native Pierre Cao, the choir is now considered to be among the best in Europe. Using a flexible formation, ranging up to 32 Singers, Arsys explores all choral repertoire, both a cappella and accompanied, from early music – Renaissance, Baroque, Classical – through Romantic and 20th century music to that of the present day. As an enthusiastic advocate of modern repertoire, Arsys regularly commissions new works by living composers. Comprising some of the finest young Singers in the country, members of the choir are all alumni of the Eton Choral Courses. Conducted by their founder Ralph Allwood, the sound of the choir is a reflection of their profound sensitivity to text, blend and phrasing.
