In 20...  moreThe Graduate Singers (TGS) is a semi-professional, award-winning choir established in 2010. The choir represented Singapore at the 2018 World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa, and brought home a gold and a silver medal in separate categories. In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam International Choir CompetItion. Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at the Esplanade RecItal Studio, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall and YST Conservatory Concert Hall. For Its fifth anniversary, the choir launched Its debut EP, now available on Spotify and Itunes. The choir’s international footprints include being the first Singaporean choir to be part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York’s Concert Series, Messiah…Refreshed! The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and CompetItion” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs. The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List.  less

Our members are mainly from a...  moreThe Mayo Male Voice Choir has been in existence for twelve years, It has grown in strength this year from 26 to 42 members, and now has a wide and varied repertory featuring many favorItes from light opera to popular musical. Our members are mainly from around the Castlebar area, but wIth five from Ballinrobe, more from Swinford, Kilkelly and Ballyglass we now truly represent our county. Under the musical direction of Deirdre Lee, from Kiltimagh, Deirdre has been our musical director since the choir’s inception, an honors music graduate of UniversIty College Maynooth, having studied under Professor Gerard Gillen. She has been involved in many musicals and events as musical director, arranged and conducted. Deirdre is a teacher of music, choir and orchestra in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar. She has arranged many of the pieces we perform in four part for male voice. which were previously not available to us.  less
