Take the song, bring forth the timbrel, the pleasant harp, and the viol. Blow the trumpet in the new moon, even in the time appointed, and at our feast day. For this is a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob. (From Psalm 81)

With increasing anxiety, the priests call on Baal a second time. Dusk approaches. Still no fire. Still no Baal. Things turn from just plain embarrassing to rather desperate for the priests of Baal. Elijah turns more aggressive this time, urging them to mutilate themselves before their god in an effort to gain his attention. The followers of Baal Make One last frenzied appeal, but the final supplication collapses, to stunned silence: For extra insurance, Elijah has dampened all surrounding noise from the wind, the birds and the trees, so no One Can falsely claim any natural sound to be the oncoming voice of Baal. - GNAAS-KNUST Choir #anticipate #choral #classicalmusic #elijah #felixmendelssohn #theyoutubeexperience #koncertonline #koncerto  One';">less

Formed by Graham Taylor in 1983 as The New Glasgow Singers, a small group of passionate choral singers looking to take on some of the less well-known works in the choral repertoire, it has grown into an organisation that has around 100 members singing a wide range of musical genres but still with the core wish to seek out and perform the less familiar pieces. We perform a regular series of concerts each year: the details for the current season Can be seen here. The range of music includes serious classical works, programmes of choral classics, West End musical pieces and the lighter popular music included in our annual Christmas Cracker concert. Our full repertoire Can be seen in our list of past concerts. Some notable highlights have been Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts and Mahler’s Eighth Symphony - the Symphony of a Thousand.  One';">less

Some of the lowest octave passages in the Lute (Guitar) part are transposed up an octave to better match the new arrangement. The Treble and Bass Viol parts may be played by Violin and Violoncello, respectively. --- NotePerformer 4 audio and scrolling score seeking live performances.
