Since incorporation, NGGC now operates under two mandate objectives: to develop the professional and musical skills of young adults 20-30 years of age; and to bring gospel music as a respected genre of music, along with its more evolved counterparts (Jazz and Classical music), in Canada.
Gospel Music has served vitally in the development of all members who have joined NGGC. Our unique incorporation, interpretation, and delivery of this embodied form of art, has garnered multiple forms of support — like spectators; organizations; donors; and sponsors alike — granting us the ability to develop both the musical and professional skills of our members in tandem. less

the Choir comprises of students from various academic courses and generally only a few members study music. the Choir, an ensemble of approximately 80 – 100 voices, has won international acclaim through performances, concert tours, and participation in prestigious festivals and competitions.
the Choir is currently ranked 1st on the Interkultur World Ranking List for amateur Choirs.

This auditioned choir has 150 adult mixed voices and 300 Youth mixed voices rehearsing weekly to bring various masterworks, original pieces, collaborations and new arrangements to the ears of many.
Doug Mears is the Artistic Director with Patrick Vaughn as Youth Director. Youth Choruses have two convenient campuses with the professional support of Caroline Crocker and Bonny Tynch and Youth Chorus Directors. Additionally, full time accompanists and music educators meet the rehearsal and music education portions of this semi-professional chorus.
FCS is honored to work with renown musicians, conductors and orchestras to present the finest choral programs available. Sometimes we join other choruses to produce even larger musical works. the choral offerings of the Fairfax Choral Society are diverse though always presented after concerted rehearsal and production.

Thompson. the 40-80 member A Cappella Choir offers freshman and sophomore singers the opportunity to perform works for larger Choirs and to fine-tune the art of choral singing through exposure to music from the Renaissance through the 21st century.
In daily rehearsals, choir members hone musicianship skills such as rhythm, sight-reading and the understanding of complex scores. they develop an understanding of the intricacies of vocal production, including pitch and how to blend individual voices together into a unified, beautiful sound. Finally, members learn how to sing in an ensemble and to successfully meld as a team.
