The choir promotes European and Croatian Musical heritage giving concerts both home and outside Zagreb, but also enjoys performing classical Music to the audience that does not tend to go to cultural events. Since 2007, the choir has been conducted by Ms. Elena Konovalova. Under her guidance, the choir won first place at Zagreb Singing Choirs Competition 2012, in Vocal Ensembles category. It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent. In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante Manila has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are the 2nd Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), the 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2003) and the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, the choir won the 1st and 2nd Prizes at the 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittalan der Drau, Austria and the 1st Prize at the 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain. Our mission as an ensemble is to connect with the community and each other through the exploration of quality choral Music, including the promotion of women composers, within an engaging, encouraging, and intergenerational environment focused on healthy vocal technique and artistic excellence. We encourage those with children to join us as we have a tandem youth choral program (Consonare Youth Choirs) that rehearses at the same time.  less

Integrates more than twenty young people between fourteen and eighteen years of age who have, in Music, a common denominator. Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a varied repertoire in multiple languages, styles, and four mixed voices (SATB) a cappella or in collaboration with instrumental ensembles. Has the support of the Instituto Politecnico de Castelo Branco, through the provision of space for rehearsals, on Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco (ESART). Fifteen days after its formation, the band was invited to participate in the IX Spring Concert (Covilha), with the theme "East and West", taking place on March 15, 2015. He accepted with great pleasure and it turned out a great way for bringing a greater responsibility to the original project.  less
